Meet Linda KHMELNYTSKA

I think what you really want to know is whether we will connect. The relationship between a client and therapist is the most important part of the healing journey. Therapy is an intensely personal journey, and one that cultivates new ways of being and doing.  I believe that your personal growth is the key to general health, happiness, and success. I'm here to walk with you through the process so that it is easier, more enjoyable and a great experience.

I AM LINDA,

MA, LMHC, EMDR Certified / CIT, Amen’s Clinic Certified Brain Health Coach

If you want information on who I am, my education and training; I’m Ukrainian, born and raised. I left Ukraine right after the 2014 war with Russia and have been living in the U.S. for close to a decade. I originally chose to be a therapist when I was a teenager and never looked back.  I attained my degree in Psychology at Dnipropetrovsk National University in Dnipro, Ukraine. After providing therapy in my motherland, I moved to the United States and continued my career by working in various community mental health agencies and private practices. This extensive experience has opened a new perspective on mental health treatment and environmental factors that contribute to mental health concerns.

My passion for counseling encouraged me to continue pursuing additional credentials to provide the best care possible. I decided to become a Certified Trauma Professional as well as a Certified EMDR therapist and now a Consaltunt in Training. I have expanded my knowledge and training in Hypnotherapy and Brain Health Coaching. In my experience, I have enjoyed using multiple interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy; however, my preference and expertise is in EMDR as it focuses on awareness, active processing, and transformation and gives the relief faster.

I love witnessing people heal, grow, and start living the lives they want. I am passionate about helping people and seeing change happen in their lives—whether that’s a change in behavior or a change in perspective or both!

My interest in psychology stems primarily from my personal experience living with addiction and neurodiversity in my family, navigating complex relationships and attachment wounding and living through a war. These experiences have made me constantly learn what it means to be human, which has been one of the most important lessons for me on this journey called life!

My Approach

I believe that we have what we need to heal inside of us. As someone who has professionally worked in the mental health field I understand that it's not just the symptoms that you're experiencing that need to be treated, but the underlying issues and imbalances as well. Through working with me you'll learn to let go of barriers that have been holding you back from achieving your goals. You will develop the tools needed to live a happier and more fulfilling life. My clients get relief from anxiety, panic attacks, depression and trauma with these therapies.

My goal is to help you find that wisdom and strength so that you can make lasting changes for yourself and without keeping  you in my office for years.
